Vivica Fox is an American actress born on the 30-th of July 1964 in South Bend, Indiana. Her father was William Fox, the administrator of a private school and her mother was a pharmaceutical technician.
She studied at the Arlington Highschool in Indianopolis and then moved to California to study at the Golden West College. There she started acting and appeared in soap operas like Days of our Lives and the Young and the Restless, one of the longest running tv series in American history.
Her first major role was in the blockbuster movie Independence Day in 1996 and in the same year she appeared in Set it off, a movie about four desperate women who plan a robbery. It was well received by critics and it gave a well needed boost to Foxs career. Another important role was in the drama Soul Food, another part which garnered her critical acclaim. She attracted the attention of Quentin Tarantino who cast her in Kill Bill: Vol. 1 in 2003, alongside with Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu.
Since then she appeared in other shows like Dancing with the stars, Punkd or 1-800 Missing.
The year 2011 will be see the release of nine movies starring Fox, which include Thorns from a Rose, Jane Doe, Street, Caught on Tape and Black Gold.
She was married with singer Christopher Harvest from 1998 until 2002 when she divorced him. She briefly dated Curtis Jackson and in 2006 she got engaged with Omar White, the Atlanta club promoter.
