Sara Cox is a British radio and TV presenter born on the 13-th of December 1974 in Bolton, Greater Manchester. She studied at Smithills High School until she was 16 and afterwards at Canon Slade School. She was remember as a very bright student but she had other goals in mind.
When she turned 18 she stopped continuing her studies and pondered to become a model or an actress. In her early 20s Cox nabbed the job of presenter of the Girlie Show. Subsequently she also appeared in Channel 4s Born Sloppy, Channel 5s Exclusive and MTVs Hot.
Her shot to fame arose when she was offered to host the Breakfast Show at BBC Radio 1 in 1998. Her morning shows were listened by more that six million people reaching an astounding 7.8 million the following year. But after this great performance the number of listenerers dropped and in 2003 she was replaced by Chris Moyles.
But BBC still offered her an afternoon show. Today she is still hosting this broadcast but only on Sundays. To make up for losing her place on BBC Radio 1 she got a job at Channel 4 where she presents the Album Chart Show.
During these years she also appeared in various TV shows like BBCs Sport Relief, Sky 1s Angela and Friends or Watchs What do the kids know.
She was married once, with DJ Jon Carter and had one child, Lola Anne. Cox divorced him in 2005. In 2007 during a live broadcast she announced that she was three months pregnant with boyfriend Ben Cyzer and on the 10-th of March she gave birth to a boy.
