(born December 25, 1968 in Copenhagen) is a Danish model. Helena Christensen started modelling at age 9 and left school to move to France and pose for "Elle". She competed in the Miss Universe contest in 1986 as Miss Denmark, but did not place. Christensen is considered to be one of the more[weasel words] prominent supermodels of the 1990s. She has appeared on many magazine covers and fashion campaigns. Christensen is also a photographer and her photos appeared in magazines such as Marie Claire and ELLE.
