Celebrities Who Have Committed Serious Crimes
Sometimes celebrities do stupid things, and sometimes they commit serious crimes. The following celebrities are legendary for the serious crimes they committed.
1. Roman Polanski
He was placed under house arrest at his Swiss chalet and faced extradition for fleeing the United States after being charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl. If Roman Polanski, the award winning director of such films as Rosemary's Baby and The Pianist, is sent back to the United States, he could spend the rest of his life in jail. The director has been free since 1978 when he was about to discover his fate in the United States.
2. O. J. Simpson
"The Juice" is suspected of killing Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. However, in October of 2008, O.J. Simpson was charged with various felonies including first degree kidnapping with the use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and more, in Las Vegas, and was sentenced to nine years in prison.
3. Tonya Harding
In 1998, ice skater Tonya Harding pleaded guilty to conspiracy to hinder prosecution in an attack orchestrated against rival ice skater Nancy Kerrigan. Harding was banned from U.S. Figure Skating among other punishments.
4. Rae Carruth
Rae Carruth was a football player for the Carolina Panthers. In 2001, he was found guilty of trying to murder is girlfriend, and he is currently in prison until 2018.
5. C-Murder
Corey Miller, aka C-Murder, was a rap star. In 2002, he was convicted of second degree murder in the killing of a 16-year-old boy. C-Murder is serving a life sentence with no possibility of parole. His prison address is posted at his MySpace page.
