Alicia Keys also donates a lot to charity. She is an active member of organizations like To Child Alive and Frum Tha Group Up. Keep To Child Alive heads to supply medicines for children and families who live with AIDS and HIV, while Frum tha group up dedication to the inspiration, the support and the motivation of the American youth in order to catch up the happened one in any field. In favor of “Keep To Child Alive”, the artist has recorded with Bono singer of the U2 cover of Don't give up of Peter Gabriel and Kate a Bush, entitled Don't give up (Africa), in order to on purpose awaken the public opinion of the AIDS in Africa.
The musician also has participated to other humanitarian efforts in 2005 exhibiting in several concerts exclusive rights and television programs. The 2 July 2005 has been exhibited to Philadelphia during the local concert of the Live8. The mission of the manifestation is to increase the knowledge of the poverty in Africa (always in increase) and to make pressure on the leaders of the G8 because they take decisions on the cancellation of the debit. In August 2005 it has been exhibited in ReAct now: Music & relief, a program of beneficence of the destined musical TV to the collection of deep for the victims of the Katrina hurricane.
